Morgan - Refrigerated Van Bodies:
Morgan has custom-engineered three of the most innovative refrigerated bodies in the business. Features may vary by body style or size, but Morgan's superior design makes each the best you can buy.
Aluminum sheet and post exterior wall construction, for example, helps reduce weight. Available thermoplastic dormers and front radius, and Poly-Tuff corner caps reduce damage. Standard steel wheel pans lower body height to speed dock loading/unloading, and improve aerodynamics. Morgan's thermal insulation design prevents exterior metal surfaces from contracting interior metal surfaces. Morgan also mounts the refrigeration unit higher with heavy-duty bracing and support to increase evaporator air flow and interior cargo space. Inside poured in place polyurethane foam in floors, walls and ceilings provides superior thermal integrity.
Recessed E-tracks and scuffs have been improved. There are redesigned sealed exterior wiring harnesses, panel-style rear doors and side door jamb trim angles. At Morgan we're always thinking of new innovations to make our truck bodies better. And more are coming, just around the corner.
The Whole Package In Refrigerated Van Bodies
Morgan refrigerated van bodies are made with standard features and special options that guarantee durability, efficiency and safety. They're built with lower overall dock height for improved loading and unloading, aerodynamics and stability. We also feature a unique thermal barrier which increases thermal efficiency.
Inside there's a seamless glassboard liner that's easy to clean and meets all USDA and FDA requirements. Optional side doors are available to meet your specific operating requirements. We also offer monorail ramps and a variety of liftgates and cargorestraint systems. Various bumper designs, flooring and lighting options are available. Finally, we'll install your refrigeration unit, custom paint and decal.
Standard Specifications
| Side Panel: Prepainted white aluminum skins with aluminum Z-posts on 16" centers. Front End: Radius designed with stainless steel corner posts. Reinforcement and opening for refrigeration unit; folding steps and grab handle on roadside front corner post. Floor: 1 1/4" extruded aluminum hat type, welded watertight, including four drains with kazoos and built-in 6" high extruded aluminum scuff plate. Understructure: 3" I-beam crossmembers on 12" centers and 4" steel I-beam longitudinal rails. Mylar tape between crossmembers and bottom rail. Insulation: Urethane, foamed-in-place 3" sides and ceiling, 4" floor and front-end. Interior Liner: 3/32" one-piece seamless glassboard - front, sides and ceiling. |
Roof: One-piece tension installed .032" aluminum sheet over aluminum roof posts. Rear Frame: Stainless steel with built-in clearance light protecting header. Grab handle on curbside. Mounting: Mounted with tapered wood sleeper slats and 5/8" diameter steel U-bolts. Morgan anti-sail mudflaps installed. Interior Lights: One recessed domelight with switch and indicator in cab. Exterior Lights: All exterior lights and reflectors comply with FMVSS-108 specifications. Subpan: Glassboard over crossmembers. |
